The firm has a wide range of expertise in the fields of Design and Product Innovation, with a deep experience in Virtual Prototyping such as 3D Design and Numerical Simulation. A wide-ranging knowledge in Numerical Simulation was gained with a continuous work in this field since 1988 within all advanced industrial sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, Race Bike, Transportations and Off-Shore.
The firm is capable of providing a continuous support to the customer from the initial specs, and design the whole work in accordance with the international and national rules as DNV, ISO, MIL and so on, to the prototype validation and testing, till the final production line.
Dedicated Research Activities on specific topics are also in progress with Universities and Research Centres. In addition to that, a strong experience in Training and Teaching is available, which covers all theoretical aspects of numerical simulation, Finite Element Analysis and Virtual prototyping approach to design.
Curriculum
Luciano Maestrelli graduated in 1989 in Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Pisa with a master thesis on “Modelling of Elastoplastic Contact with F.E.M.”
Since then he has been continuously involved in Finite Element Analysis and Numerical Simulation:
- From 1989 to 1992 as Design Engineer
- From 1992 to 1997 as Lead Engineer
In 1997 Luciano founded “StudioMAESTRELLI” an Engineering and Consultancy firm active in the fields of Engineering and Mechanical Design of Structures, Machines and Mechanisms.
In 2005 Luciano is one of the founders of NAFEMS ITALIA, Italian branch of NAFEMS Internationa, a not-for-profit association created to promote and to divulge the culture of Numerical Simulation and Advanced Mechanical Design
